The Science of Baseball

The Met is proud to partner with the Fresno Grizzlies again this year for The Science of Baseball, on view free with paid admission to any Grizzlies home game at Chukchansi Park, on view through August 24, 2008.

Just inside the main entrance of Chukchansi Park, the Met has installed hands-on exhibits to demonstrate the "sweet spot" of a bat, show the guts of a major league hard ball, illustrate how legal modifications to a bat can achieve nearly the same results as an illegally "corked" bat, challenge fans to test their reaction time, explain why curveballs curve, and much more.
